Little Note of Victory-Audible Silence

In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears

Dear Lord,

Even when sickness,

trauma or evil

silences my voice,

you distinctively hear

the cries of my heart.

And in such audible silence

you show your mighty power

giving me your blessing

hour by passing hour. ©Rhodi Alers de López 2012

Thank you, dear heavenly Father, for listening so closely to our hearts even in those difficult moments when we cannot express them out loud. We praise you for your love, your tender care, and your willingness to work in our need. Help us be more like you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Little Notes of Victory-Psalm 24:1-2

The earth is the Lord’s

In a time of world-wide crisis the possibility exists of forgetting that we are not adrift. But there is one Creator. He is our only Sustainer. This world and all of its inhabitants belongs to God. You and I are under his fatherly care.

Meditate on God’s power

Will the powerful Creator who set limits to the waters and established the earth upon its fountains forget His children? Never! As surely as He created the universe and filled it with His glory, He looks upon those who trust in Him as if they were the only ones on the planet.

Declare such a powerful truth!

The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods

Psalm 24:1-2

Whatever the situation you are going through now, whatever worries you, whatever you cannot resolve, whatever keeps you awake at night, put it in the hands of our powerful Creator, for in His love, He will care for you, He will watch out for you, he will strengthen you in any and every situation that you turn over to Him for the honor and glory of His name. Today, you and I can live in victory. And we write “VICTORY” in prayer.

Dear heavenly Father, we are thankful that this world and its inhabitants are in your hands. Today we put our battles, our needs and desires in your hands, while keeping in mind that you are interested in it’s well-being and ours. Theres is nothing out of your reach, nothing out of your searching eyes view, there is nothing that you can not handle! We thank you for you are as close as a prayer. Help us that today we may write “Victory” next to those requests still pending. In the name of Jesus, Amen. ©Rhodi Alers de López, 2020.

Little Notes of Victory-Deuteronomy 20:4

For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory (Deuteronomy 20:4).

Their is no victory without a battle.

Do you have a battle to wage? God gave specific instructions to obtain victory. These are registered in Deuteronomy, chapter 20. Some of them are:

  • Be not afraid of your enemies, nor their resources.
  • The spiritual leader’s task is to give the people courage.
  • They should remind their people the following:

a) God is with us.

b) He intends to fight (instead of us) against our enemies.

c) The reason: To save us.

Do you believe God? Do you accept His promise?  If so, what is preventing you from living in VICTORY?

Allow God to take control of your problems.

Whatever causes you to worry, whatever your pain, sorrow or burden is, leave it TODAY in the hands of He who promises to work in answer to your prayer. TODAY you can live in victory. Praise the Lord!
